ANCRUM MOUNTAINEERING CLUB: January 25 2004

updated 4 February 2004

The day meet to Ben Lomond had 11 of us take the normal route up this busy hill. After a sunny start along a muddy path, the good weather turned to mist then a pretty heavy snow shower near the top. Miraculously, a few minutes before the summit, the snow stopped and the mist cleared completely giving us great views. While we descended, the mist rolled in over the summit.

We also found an excellent tea room at the Old Oak in Balmaha. We climb for our coffee.

Happy snappers, remember to send Allan your photographs for inclusion on this page. The photos so far are by Allan and Grant.
