To celebrate the International Year of Mountains, the Committee asked for ideas to celebrate this event. Ann Johnson made a suggestion that we try to have every Munro climbed by a Club member during the year. Newsletter 191 outlined some ground rules and how to report a "bag" but the details again were:

  • The hill has to be climbed by a current member
  • The hill can be climbed on a Club meet, or outwith a meet. The member can be alone, with family or another club.
  • Grant Allwell will collate the results and give an update in the newsletter. If you have climbed a Munro since 1 January 2002 phone or e-mail Grant.
  • The website will also try to give as up to date information on what hills have been climbed.

Remember, to send Allan that photograph you took on the hill so we can have a pictorial record for all to see.

The December 2002 weekend meet was changed to Ratagan YH in Glenshiel (13 - 15 December - note the date change too) There, we bagged our final munro, A'Ghlas-Bheinn, on 14 December.
